Client Communication and Service Specialist
Our client is seeking a Client Communications and Services Specialist to join their team in Portland, OR. This role is primarily responding, and processing change requests from multiple sources and monitoring the status of requests in a timely manner focusing on customer satisfaction.
Client Communication and Service Specialist Responsibilities
Respond to a wide variety of customer service inquiries through 800 lines and e-mail alias.
Promptly and accurately summarize information about individualized products to customers, financial advisors and authorized 3rd parties.
Provide callers with guidance completing forms, understanding provisions, and procedures for effecting changes.
Process point-of-call customer updates, routine and moderate complexity changes.
Prepare and coordinate periodic communications and business retention notices.
Monitor and follow-up on the status of requested work to ensure timely processing in accordance with internal and regulatory guidelines.
Solicit customer feedback to identify areas for customer service improvements; develop and modify procedures; recommend changes to internal forms, process and procedures.
Support divisional projects as assigned, particularly activities related to front-end service delivery.
Client Communication and Service Specialist Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, accounting, finance or interdisciplinary studies preferred.
Experience in a high-volume customer service, insurance, brokerage, banking or accounting environment; or the equivalent combination of education and/or 8-10 years' experience.
Microsoft Office Suite knowledge.
Basic knowledge in insurance and disability plan industry.
Excellent written and verbal communication, able to interface with customers in a professional manner.
Ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions in a fast-paced environment.
