Child Development Director
Our client is seeking an Child Development Director to join their dynamic team in Beaverton, OR. You will lead and drive the strategy and activation of our client’s Child Development Program, leading transformational organizational and business model changes.
Child Development Director Responsibilities:
Align and integrate with Global and GEO initiatives to effectively operate within the ecosystem.
Recruit, onboard, lead, coach, drive and inspire the staff.
Develop and maintain relationships with key business partners to develop and advance strategies. Business partners include but are not limited to Executives, HR, Communications, Technology, Legal & Resilience.
Inspire each child’s potential through our innovative curriculum, inclusive environment and strong family partnerships.
Collaborate with families to support and share the educational needs of their children.
Ensure adherence to all regulations that apply to early childhood program services/health and safety.
Manage the operating budget of ~$15M, including relationship management with key partners (custodial, food services etc.).
Child Development Director Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required in ECE or related field.
3-5 years of management/leadership experience.
A combination of infant, toddler or preschool teaching experience.
Well-versed in NAEYC accreditation and licensing standards.
Strong leadership, supervisory and customer service skills and ability to create/maintain partnerships with families and staff.
Ability to lead staff in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks or crisis situations effectively.
Capacity to understand and manage center financial duties.
Experience working in an inclusive work environment and managing across differences.
Must meet state educational and licensing requirements for director; additional center/school requirements may apply.
