Chief Information Security Officer
Our client is hiring a Chief Information Security Officer for their team in Redmond, Washington. As the Chief Information Security Officer, you would be part of the team architecture and protecting a remarkable enterprise solution for a new class of mobile satcom terminals. While leveraging the best of both cellular and satellite to provide the most complete coverage, data security is critical. Markets include Land Mobile, Government, Maritime, Land Fixed and Connected Car, with Terminals, Critical Services during disaster response and Co-Developed Solutions to account for from a CISO perspective.

As the CISO, you will be responsible for the information security of customers. Success means maintaining and expanding our reputation as a completely secure solution that everyone trusts with their most sensitive data. You will have critical operational responsibilities, from proactive customer engagement in security reviews to reactive customer engagement during an incident, and everything in between. Team in the core Security, Product Security and Engineering functions will partner with this role to deliver exceptional security for customers. You will work closely with and develop the customer-facing go-to-market strategies for security solutions and customer success. We are a team that thrives on challenging problems in a very fast-paced product development cycle.

Chief Information Security Officer Responsibilities
Develop and grow leadership talent through mentoring, coaching, succession planning, and retention strategies.
Build relationships and partner with both internal and external stakeholders.
Set and drive strategy with leadership.
Provide technical guidance to the Security Engineering team.

Chief Information Security Officer Qualifications
Experience in Cellular and satellite communications.
Software and hardware product experience – in a B2B and/or B2C platform.
Enterprise knowledge and application of security measures to protect the company’s information systems, data, products, and customer information resources.
Acute understanding of the security market, emerging trends and methods to thwart security breaches within the company’s products/services and Enterprise systems.
Passion for technology and technical depth to uncover root causes of complex technical problems and provide guidance on solving them.
Ability to build relationships and lead through influence, both with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to inspire and motivate a Security Engineering team to work together as a cohesive and highly productive unit.
Ability to provide detailed technical guidance to the team, enabling them to execute more effectively and deliver products on time and within budget.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to act as a thought leader in strategy discussions.
Experience building and leading engineering teams.
Product experience, especially relating to security ennoblement within software and hardware products.
Experience in security, security measures, security application within network and communications platforms.
10 years of professional experience in software engineering with a Telecom/satellite/communications/broadband company.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
