Our downtown Portland client is looking for a collaborative and outgoing CFO to manage their accounting and finance team. This role will be seated in a corner office overlooking the beautiful Willamette River, and comes with nice benefits!
Responsibilities of the Chief Financial Officer
Oversee company financial and operational performance.
Provide recommendations for strategic planning and forecasting.
Lead the continuous development and implementation of financial policy, best practice, and process improvements.
Manage banking and other external financial relationships.
Oversee audit processes.
Develop, train, and mentor executive accounting and finance staff.
Planning and analysis of business opportunities.
Financial modeling and strategic planning.
Annual financial reporting.
Tax return review and approval.
Oversee budgeting process.
Ad hoc financial reporting and analysis.
Other special projects and duties as needed.
Chief Financial Officer Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; real estate or affordable housing background required.
10 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, with experience in a previous CPA, CFO, or Treasurer capacity.
Tax experience required.
Demonstrate experience in a business partner role.
Knowledge of GAAP.
Cash and asset management experience.
Strong team building skills.
MS Office Suite experience, with skills in Excel and Word.
Advanced ERP systems knowledge.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
Organized multitasker with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
