The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) is responsible for engaging stakeholders to understand opportunities for process automation and/or enhancements of Forwarding solutions and then converting those opportunities into approved projects. The BSA provides technical and business application support to internal and external customers. Cargowise One (CW1) is a key solution for this role, but the scope includes additional freight forwarding / TMS solutions.
Business Systems Analysis
Translation of business needs into system requirements and project requests by working closely with project sponsors and business owners to understand business processes and recommend innovative solutions.
Ensures downstream processes are considered during system enhancement/modification efforts.
Resolve any issues and solve problems throughout project life cycle.
Perform initial QA testing to ensure system changes meet defined requirements as well as providing feedback to Development teams regarding test cases, scenarios, and scripts.
Collaborate with IT peers, business, vendors, and consultants to achieve solutions to identified business needs.
Manage project development from initiation to closure involving single or cross-functional teams.
Track / communicate project status, including issues, risks, and mitigation plans.
Lead, coach and motivate project team members on proactive basis.
3+ years of Business Systems Analysis.
2+ years of experience with Freight Forwarding, Warehouse Management, and Transportation Integration frameworks.
Prefer 1+ year Cargowise One (CW1) system administration and/or IT support, but any TMS is acceptable.
Comfortable working with a highly collaborative, globally distributed team as well as independently.
Excellent customer facing skills and understanding of different communication styles.
Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced, and results-oriented environment.
Strong organizational, documentation and collaboration skills.
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills with a focus on existing offerings and continuous improvement.
Self-motivated with ability to adapt quickly to constantly changing environment.
Experience in freight forwarding, warehousing, logistics and/or supply chain management operations.
Experience using Microsoft Office 365, Monday, Visual Studio, and Microsoft TEAMS.
