Business Systems Analyst Responsibilities
The following skill, knowledge and experience are needed for this position.
Knowledge and experience in performing customer interviews, requirements gathering, process workflow documenting and business process analysis while reaching sound, logical conclusions regarding customer needs and business requirements.
Ability to lead conversations to develop the above work artifacts.
Knowledge and experience in understanding and applying the analysis of functional requirements to the development of systems proposals, application requirements, programming specifications and other recommendations for efficient, cost effective solutions.
Knowledge and some experience in basic database theory, design rules and development practices, including data modeling, data flow and entity relationship analysis and database reporting using software tools such as Crystal Reports.
Knowledge and experience in basic project management methods, tools and techniques.
Knowledge and experience in planning and conducting effective customer training programs.
Experience in communicating effectively with a diverse audience of technical and non-technical personnel, orally and in writing.
Business Systems Analyst Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or similar discipline or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Minimum of 4 years Business Systems Analyst experience in software support or software implementation projects.
Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and relationship development/management skills.
Experience in clarifying objectives and dealing with ambiguity/under-defined problems.
Experience in daily operational activities of IT/software development projects.
Self-starter, strong organizational and task management skills.
