Business System Analyst
Our client is seeking a business A system Analyst to join their team in Vancouver, WA. The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) is responsible for understanding the business operations and aligning information systems to support business objectives. The BSA functions as the liaison between the business and the Information Technology teams, translating business requirements into technical specifications.

The BSA builds on their technical knowledge of information systems and uses that knowledge to continuously improve system efficiencies by recommending systems use changes or business process improvements. The BSA builds strong relationships with internal stakeholders. The BSA is an excellent communicator and drives the project forward. This position reports to the Program Manager, Insurance and Accounting and is highly collaborative with all members of the team. 

Elicits business requirements and performs analysis and designs systems to leverage information systems to accomplish business objectives.
Works with business customers to understand existing processes and problems as well as new requirements and then applies knowledge of the application
Works with business customers to identify current state processes and systems, solicit and manage new requirements providing creation of future state process or systems, gap analysis, decision support, business rules or business intelligence designs.
Partners with business customers to make sound decisions – e.g. workflow diagrams, data analysis summaries, cost benefit/ROI assessments, process maps, creation of user stories and managing of backlog
Brings a continuous improvement mentality and sense of curiosity to daily activities
Identify problems, hypothesize solutions, and test concepts to resolve systems and business issues. Collaborate with the Operations Center and Field Service teams to bring solutions to reality.
Engage with existing communications channels in our mentor groups and task forces to grow strong ties, build trust and convey messaging regarding issues, opportunities and change.
Be a systems expert for questions, troubleshooting, brings a continuous improvement mentality and sense of curiosity to daily activities
Develop process documentation, test scripts, requirements. Maintain user guides, knowledge base and other documentation regarding systems and business process in collaboration with IT, Learning and Development, and Branches. Leverages best practices, innovation, research in emerging solutions and business process improvement tools to develop long term solutions.
Collaborate with Internal Audit and Development Teams to ensure adherence to security and compliance requirements.
Qualified candidates must have a BS or BA degree in Business, Technology, or equivalent degree
Strong working familiarity with HR, Insurance, Accounting or Payroll Processes in a service environment
5-7 years working as a Business Systems Analyst or equivalent job role.
Familiarity with API’s , web services and/or Micro services 
Experienced in Agile Scrum and KanBan as well as Waterfall Project Methodologies.
