They are in search of their next Business System Analyst. This position is primarily responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the deferred compensation plan management system. You will serve as a primary interface between the business subject matter experts and system developers on projects to ensure the solution delivered meets the needs of the client.
Business Systems Analyst Responsibilities
Act as a Business Analyst/Database Administrator for an in-house database management system built on Microsoft Access and Microsoft SQL.
Work closely with internal departments to collect, monitor, audit, maintain, and ensure the integrity of client life insurance, and benefit plan data, client data, and joint venture partner data required to service clients, participants, and colleagues.
Evaluates business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
Routinely works with internal departments to monitor and audit and/or process changes within the system through regular data audit.
Proactively identifies gaps/issues/risks related to the database management system and ensure system requirements are well documented throughout the software development life cycle.
Engage with stakeholders to incorporate use-ability and user interface upgrades in the deferred compensation plan management system.
Works with the Client Reporting Specialists to proactively resolve customer facing data issues.
Helps define key business analysis methodology, processes, and tools.
Prioritize and manage requirements in order to facilitate system enhancements and solution delivery to clients.
Gathers critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing produce useful reports.
Monitors technology deliverables and ensures timely completion of projects.
Provide training on new system functionality.
Extensive work with spreadsheets, reports and PCs.
Business Systems Analyst Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
5+ Financial Services sector preferred.
Strong competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook–— but especially Access and SQL.
Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine solutions.
Excellent documentation and technical writing skills.
Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations to various audiences.
Excellent planning, project management, organizational, and time management skills.
