Business System Analyst
Our client is seeking a strong Business Systems Analyst to support the product development lifecycle for a variety of applications that drive new business to the organization.  This role will work primarily with the Product Owner and business stakeholders to support the daily operational administration of existing systems as well as the implementation of new technologies. 

Our client’s technology functions employ both agile and waterfall methods. The right fit for this position will be able to accommodate a hybrid model.

Business System Analyst Responsibilities
Contribute to system solutions by documenting and analyzing business and technical requirements, documenting workflows, and learning system capabilities.
Manage ongoing operational vendor releases and application updates.
Determine operational objectives by learning business functions; gathering and evaluating information considering usability and UX upgrades. 
Support system testing and UAT by working with QA lead and Product Owner to write test cases, aggregate feedback, and contribute to defect log.
Create system protocols by writing and updating procedures.
Prepare written user documentation for help desk support and end users.
Provide tier 2 support collaboratively with users to drive issue resolution.
Engage with IT Services, IT Operations, IT Infrastructure and third-party vendors to develop solutions and resolve problems.
Contribute to continuous efforts to improve internal business processes by helping identify and implement new business enhancements and system integrations.
Handle numerous projects/priorities.
Performs other related duties and responsibilities as needed.

Business System Analyst Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
4+ years of experience in business analysis or a related field (Financial Services sector preferred).
Strong competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine solutions.
Excellent documentation and technical writing skills.
Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations to various audiences.
Excellent planning, project management, organizational, and time management skills.
Understanding of complex business processes and applications.
Strong verbal and written communications with ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels in the organization.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to set proper time and resource expectations with stakeholders.
Works effectively and diligently with or without deadlines.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively.
