Our client is looking for a Business Analyst to join their team. This position is primarily responsible for supporting the Data Entry and Document Control teams in the creation, processing and management of converting paper information into electronic data.
Business Analyst Responsibilities
Perform SQL queries on MS SQL and Access databases and analyze results.
Create, deploy, maintain and support Data Entry and Document Control jobs and projects.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to create innovative business solutions.
Provide data processing support for internal business clients.
Ensure that projects are consistently on-scope and on-time.
Draft effective documentation of procedures for training and reference purposes.
Implement standard processes for formatting and converting non-electronic information into electronic data files.
Seeks to establish and implement process improvements at the direction of the department manager.
Monitor data transfer and flow within the group from creation to delivery.
Monitor quality of data.
Other duties as assigned.
Business Analyst Qualifications
Minimum of 6 months experience in a data entry or document processing role.
Entry level user in VBScript.
Intermediate user in Excel and Access.
Strong data analysis and research skills.
Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and time-sensitive projects, with changing priorities.
Proven problem-solving and analytical skills with an ability to approach a problem logically and systematically.
Ability to express technical and abstract concepts effectively both verbally and in writing.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, calm demeanor.
Ability to interact with all levels of managers and end-users in the organization.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
Will require training on specific tasks that require analyzing data and exceptions to determine why items failed processing requirements. Many systems used are custom built and require training to learn and contribute to solution.
