Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to join their collaborative Business Analysis Team. In this role you’ll be a part of a cross-functional team, working with Technical Product Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to design innovative solutions for product enhancements and new product features.
The Business Analyst acts as a liaison between teams inside the organization including product managers, software developers, educational researchers, content producers, and customer support representatives by translating customer and business needs into requirements.
The Business Analyst works closely with Product Managers and other stakeholders to understand their vision for the product, to elaborate the requirements for that vision, and to deliver outputs that inform the solutions created by the technical teams.
The ideal candidate for our organization is a creative problem solver, that can facilitate large brain-storming meetings one minute and write detailed requirements the next. This individual needs to have exceptional time management skills, and be able to operate in a fast paced, highly complex environment. As in all positions, relationships are key, so being able to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and gain their confidence in the decision-making process highly important.
Business Analyst Qualifications
2-4 years of experience in a business analyst role.
Ability to quickly grasp processes and apply business analyst skills and knowledge in a fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision.
Understanding of the practice of business analysis and industry standards.
Bachelor’s degree in the field of business analysis, accounting, business administration, management information systems or computer science is preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Data Analysis – has identified data from different sources, analyzed and modeled out how it is sent, received, transformed and stored.
Domain modeling – has identified entities, attributes and relationships and modeled these.
Analysis deliverables – has experience creating a variety of analysis deliverables (functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, workflow diagrams, epics, etc.).
Cloud computing – has a basic understanding of cloud capabilities and is familiar with APIs and API development practices and common data integration methods.
