Our client is seeking a Build Engineer to join their team in Vancouver, WA.
Deploy Consumer Systems' web application to multiple environments.
Strategically plan builds and deploys to multiple testing integration environments and production
Builds and validates daily installation packages.
Deploy merged code to production environment.
Create PowerShell scripts for deploying Infrastructure as a Service.
Troubleshoot deployment issues in a diverse test environment.
Serve as a member of the change review board.
Perform branching/merging of code as required.
Troubleshoot build issues.
Automating and maintaining daily builds of various software products.
Architect and design the code promotion workflow for the new CMS.
Serves as a gatekeeper and subject matter expert for build and deployment procedures in testing and production environments.
Compile and send out release notes for testing and production environments.
Facilitator of daily Technical Review Board meetings for changes being made to all customer facing environments.
Oversee the Post-Mortem Review (PMR) process and meetings for the products that directly impact the CMS.
Manage and coordinate with QA for release validation.
Mentor and train new build engineers.
Participate in an on-call rotation with other team members Enforce change freeze requirements across multiple development, product, and operational teams.
Team Foundation Server, SQL Server 2012, SQL Server 2016, MS Build, Final Builder, Source Control Management, Finance audit Compliance, .NET, Visual Studio, Azure.
5+ years Configuration Management background.
5 years Configuration Management development experience.
5+ years Build automation experience including maintenance and optimization.
Experience working in complex architectures.
Experience with Visual Studio Team Services or Team Foundation Server required.
Experience rolling out redundant, mission-critical applications with minimal downtime.
Experience with Apache, IIS.
Knowledge of software development lifecycle.
Experience implementing configuration management best practices for agile development environment.
Hands-on experience assisting developers with development issues related to configuration management tool use (check in/out, branching, and Tagging).
Hands-on experience performing software builds and releases.
Experience with implementing continuous deployment best practices a plus.
Experience implementing effective CM policies and procedures.
Knowledge of Hudson/Jenkins a plus.
Ability to implement, document and maintain CM scripts.
Excellent written and oral communications in a fast-paced environment.
Strong Scripting skills, specifically PowerShell, etc.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Manage and control the source code repository using GIT or SVN.
Proven ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Can work under minimal supervision.
Flexible to change.
