Our privately-owned client has been serving the Pacific Northwest for over 60 years. They are looking for a Benefits Specialist to provide support and administration of LOA functions. Responsibilities of the Benefits Specialist
Leave of absence administration.
Respond to employee and customer inquiries regarding benefits and insurance.
Manage leave of absence and medical accommodation requests.
Create benefits and payroll reports.
Assist with entering system data; audit and merge as needed.
Manage LOA training materials and sessions.
Prepare leave of absence administration documentation and presentation materials.
Assist with the continuous development and implementation of benefits administration policy, best practice, and process improvements.
Other job duties as assigned.
Benefits Specialist Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred.
2-3 years of benefits plan administration experience required; healthcare background preferred.
Knowledge of HIPAA, COBRA, and FMLA.
CEBS, CBP or PHR, SPHR certification preferred.
MS Office Suite experience, with skills in Excel and Word.
ERP or HRIS systems knowledge; Oracle preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
Organized multitasker with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Can work independently and as part of a team.
