Associate Project Manager
The Associate Project Manager is responsible for implementing and managing projects and processes that are small in scope and complexity from start to finish. They may also be asked to support a PM on a large complex project. This role will manage all aspects of assigned work with direct accountability to the Senior Manager. The Associate Project Manager is responsible for ensuring their assigned EHR Clinical Optimization operations and projects are planned and executed in a collaborative and efficient manner and have goals and objectives that are in alignment with Clinical Informatics priorities and strategic objectives. 

Associate Project Manager Responsibilities 
Manages planning and execution of EHR Clinical Optimization projects, initiatives, and programs of small to medium scale and complexity. Defines, documents, implements, and manages cross functional processes and policies to support EHR Clinical Optimization Program operational needs. Develops project charter and work break down structure and gains sponsor approval and signoff. 
Responsible for facilitating communication to internal and external customers.    
Develop process maps and recommends process improvements to support increased Project Manager efficiencies. Completes lit searches and small research projects.    
Provides project status reporting. Facilitates regular reporting by conducting status meetings and other means as appropriate. Maintains own project files.    
Works independently and manages time effectively. Makes informed decisions about where to invest efforts based on established priorities    
Performs assigned individual project task or modules and contributes to the completion of team tasks accurately and timely.    
Provides project information in a timely manner to project sponsors, stakeholders and process owners.    
Develops and manages EHR Clinical Optimization program and project communications, including regular program updates and project status reports.

Associate Project Manager Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, Business Management, Information Services, Healthcare Administration or Clinical field OR equivalent educ/experience required.    
Bachelor's degree, education in Project Management methodology based on Project Management principle preferred.     
Requires up to 2 years of project management experience.    
Ability to analyze information, evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.    
Effective written communication skills as appropriate for the needs of the audience.    
Ability to perform work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to prioritize responsibilities and to organize workload to ensure that timeframes are met and the work is successfully completed within deadlines.    
Working knowledge of desktop software applications (e.g., MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Internet, Email).    
Intermediate understanding of Project Management methodology and practices.
Broad knowledge and understanding of the trends and changes taking place in healthcare.
2 years    creating and executing strategic plans for healthcare information services operations and support preferred. 
2 years    application management - system deployment, support, and life cycle preferred. 
2 years    process improvement methodology, change management and operational improvement in complex systems. Ability to interact and communicate at all levels of organization preferred.
