Our client is looking for a Accounts Receivable and Collections Specialist to perform clerical, accounts receivable, and collections functions while working with several departments within the company.
Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable and Collections Specialist
Correspond with customers, off-site billing groups, and other departments on receivable matters.
Research collections issues.
Process credit and debit memos.
Maintain records in company accounting software programs.
Manage and post cash receipts.
Internal and external audits.
Accounts receivable, aging and collections statements and reporting.
Customer and vendor credit verifications and documentation.
Other duties as assigned.
Accounts Receivable and Collections Specialist Qualifications
Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related area preferred.
2 years of related experience required.
Commercial collections experience required; 3 years of related collections experience preferred.
Transportation experience preferred.
Accounting and budgeting systems experience.
Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
Great Plains and RMI experience preferred.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
