Our Portland client is looking for an Accounting Supervisor to coordinate accounting functions in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment.
Responsibilities of the Accounting Supervisor
Oversee general ledger accounts and processes.
Manage monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
General ledger account reconciliations.
Review journal entries.
Ensure GAAP and SOX compliance.
Support internal and external audits.
Continuous development and implementation of accounting policy, best practice, and process improvements.
Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Accounting Supervisor Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; equivalent education and experience; CPA preferred.
4+ years of accounting experience, with strong understanding of GL, cost accounting, and financial statements.
Knowledge of GAAP and SOX.
MS Office Suite experience, with skills in Excel and Word.
10-key by touch.
ERP systems knowledge; Oracle preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
Organized multitasker with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Can work independently and as part of a team.
