Our client is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join their team in Portland, Oregon. This company has been serving the Pacific Northwest community for more than 35 years. This role is an opportunity to be involved with all aspects of the accounting operations.
Accounting Specialist Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries, post receipts, process credit memos/refunds and account adjustments.
Process manual checks and weekly check runs.
Reconcile statements to invoices received.
Create AP reports for payment approvals.
Track AR aging and cash summary reports for payment irregularities and discrepancies.
Maintain accounting and vendor records.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Accounting Specialist Qualifications
2 years of accounting experience.
Knowledge of US GAAP.
Proficiency with MS Office including Excel.
Experience with Yardi a plus.
Highly accurate and detailed oriented.
