Our Pacific Northwest client is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team. Founded more than 80 years ago and rapidly growing in recent years, this company offers generous benefits, paid time off, and paid volunteer time. This role can be located in Bend or Springfield/Eugene.
Accounting Manager Responsibilities
Manage AP functions, including verifying entries posted and manual checks.
Oversee payroll processing.
Review GL account reconciliations and trial balances.
Review payroll tax returns and 1099 filings.
Prepare support documents for CPA audits.
Hire, coach, develop direct reports, and terminate employees.
Develop and implement process improvements and collaborate with other departments to communicate and improve interdepartmental processes.
Accounting Manager Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar field required.
Active CPA is a plus.
5+ years accounting experience; 3 years of supervisory experience highly preferred.
Public accounting experience preferred.
Current knowledge of financial accounting, auditing, and reporting requirements.
Advanced Excel skills; experience with Workday a plus.
Strong communication skills.
