One of the fastest-growing companies in the Portland Metro is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team to oversee the daily operations of their Accounting Department.
Accounting Manager Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
Improve accounting systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Meet financial accounting objectives.
Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
Accounting Manager Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
At least 5 years of related experience within an accounting function/department, including management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
1 year of public accounting experience preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, data analysis, Google Apps (documents, spreadsheets, and presentations) and QuickBooks.
Cost accounting, inventory management, and variance reporting experience.
