Our Beaverton client is looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee general ledger and AR functions for their Accounting department. This role is a great opportunity to gain professional development in a financial services environment.
Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager
Oversee general ledger and AR functions.
Develop, train, and mentor accounting staff.
Monitor treasury, accruals, and fixed assets.
Financial research and analysis.
Escalate accounting issues to executive management.
Lead the continuous development and implementation of accounting policy, best practice, and process improvements.
Manage journal entries and account reconciliations.
Create and review schedules.
Support AP functions.
Manage accounting documentation and records.
Maintain accounting job descriptions.
Coordinate accounting projects and initiatives.
Special reporting and other duties as assigned.
Accounting Manager Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
7 years of progressively responsible accounting experience with 5 years in a supervisory role.
2-3 years of public accounting experience required; finance or insurance background preferred.
Strong technical knowledge of GAAP.
MS Office Suite experience, with proficiency in Excel, Access, and Word.
ERP systems knowledge; Great Plains preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
Strong leadership skills.
Organized multitasker with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Can work independently and as part of a team.
