Our public works client in Beaverton is looking for a Accountant to support general ledger accounting functions. This role is a great opportunity to gain professional development with a company that offers great benefits.
Responsibilities of the Accountant
General ledger accounting.
Assist with financial statements.
Ad hoc analysis.
Support budgeting efforts.
AP/AR review and analysis.
Support AR functions.
Assist with project accounting functions.
Account and bank reconciliations.
Assist with development and training of accounting staff.
Assist with audits.
Manage petty cash.
Other special projects and duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business; equivalent education and experience.
3 years of accounting and general office experience; government background highly preferred.
Knowledge of GAAP.
Budgeting and audit knowledge.
MS Office Suite experience, with proficiency in Excel and Word.
ERP systems knowledge.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
Organized multitasker with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Can work independently and as part of a team.
