  • Drive solution-oriented planning by anticipating business needs, identifying gaps, and implementing strategies that support growth, responsiveness, and operational excellence.
  • Partner cross-functionally with buying, finance, merchandising, and planning teams to optimize assortment strategies and align inventory and promotional plans.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills and digital planning tools (experience with O9 or comparable systems preferred) to build and maintain planning models.
  • Monitor key performance indicators daily and respond quickly to shifts in demand, marketplace trends, and business expectations.
  • Support and occasionally lead high-visibility initiatives that impact digital planning and operational performance.

Retail Inventory Analyst Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in business, finance, merchandising, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail merchandise planning or financial planning, with a strong preference for candidates who have managed large and complex digital businesses.
  • Demonstrated track record as a seasoned retail planner with the ability to proactively identify opportunities, solve problems, and adapt quickly in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and experience interpreting and evaluating large, complex data sets.
  • Expertise connecting financial and merchandising data to strategic business decisions, with a history of driving measurable outcomes.
  • Skilled and confident communicator, capable of presenting to senior/executive stakeholders and influencing decisions through data-backed storytelling.
  • Highly organized with strong time-management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle competing priorities.
  • Proven success thriving in dynamic, cross-functional settings with tight timelines and high performance expectations.
  • Experience within large consumer products, apparel, or footwear environments is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and comfort navigating ambiguity to deliver results.
