Enterprise Technology Analyst
Our client is seeking an experienced Enterprise Technology Analyst to support the design, configuration, and ongoing enhancement of complex SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions. This role requires deep functional expertise, strong testing capabilities, and the ability to work collaboratively with both business partners and technical teams.

This role is a hybrid model in Sacramento, California.

Enterprise Technology Analyst Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, configuration, and optimization of SAP PM/EAM functionality to support operational and project needs.
  • Configure and manage SAP master data elements such as Functional Locations, Equipment, Work Centers, Task Lists, and Measurement Points.
  • Execute detailed functional and technical testing, including end-to-end and regression test cycles, ensuring high-quality system performance.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into clear functional specifications and process documentation.
  • Facilitate and participate in requirements gathering, blueprinting, and review sessions with business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with technical teams, including ABAP developers, to refine specifications and support custom enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot issues, debug custom code when needed, and resolve incidents and enhancement requests using tools such as ServiceNow or JIRA.
  • Create process flow diagrams and system documentation to support cross-functional understanding and knowledge transfer.
  • Support integrations between SAP PM/EAM and external applications or downstream systems.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise throughout the project lifecycle and contribute to continuous system improvements.

Enterprise Technology Analyst Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of hands-on experience designing and configuring SAP PM/EAM solutions.
  • Strong proficiency with SAP ECC 6.0, Enhancement Package 7 (EHP7) or higher.
  • Solid understanding of PM/EAM master data, configuration, and related business processes.
  • Proven ability to perform comprehensive functional and technical testing, including integration and regression cycles.
  • Experience using defect-tracking tools such as ServiceNow or JIRA.
  • Background leading business requirement sessions and producing detailed functional specifications.
  • Experience collaborating with technical developers to define and refine custom development requirements.
  • Ability to document business processes and create workflow diagrams.
  • Experience independently analyzing and debugging custom code to support project teams.

Preferred:

  • Industry experience supporting SAP PM/EAM within a utility or asset-intensive organization.
  • Exposure to SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC environments beyond EHP7.
  • Knowledge of maintenance strategies, lifecycle asset management, scheduling, and related operational practices.
  • Familiarity with integrations between SAP PM/EAM and systems such as GIS, OMS, or Field Service Management applications.
  • Experience working on enterprise applications requiring multi-system integrations.
  • Understanding of field maintenance operations, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Ability to support technical architecture discussions and contribute to solution design.
  • Experience working as a functional analyst on small to mid-sized projects.
  • Knowledge of asset management analytics and reporting tools, including SAP BI/BW.
  • Experience participating in RFP processes, requirement definition, and vendor evaluations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, influence outcomes, and deliver customer-focused solutions.

Compensation: $90-$120/hr. (DOE)
