Senior Apparel Merchandise Planner
Our client is seeking a highly seasoned, digitally minded Senior Apparel Merchandise Planner to lead planning for a large, fast-paced business. The ideal candidate brings deep retail planning expertise, proven success managing complex digital channels, and a reputation for being proactive, solution-oriented, and forward-thinking. This role requires someone who can anticipate business needs, move quickly in a dynamic environment, and translate complex data into clear, actionable strategies that drive results. This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon area.

Senior Apparel Merchandise Planner Responsibilities

  • Lead pre-season planning, in-season management, and monthly reforecasting for a large and fast-paced digital business.
  • Analyze high-volume data to develop assortment, pricing, and inventory strategies that maximize profitability.
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and business trends early, providing proactive recommendations to drive results.
  • Build compelling, data-driven business stories that influence cross-functional partners and senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with planning, buying, finance, and digital commerce teams to align demand, inventory, and revenue expectations.

Senior Apparel Merchandise Planner Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required (business, merchandising, or related field preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in merchandise, retail, or assortment planning, including managing complex digital channels.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency and experience using web-based planning tools (O9 a plus).
  • Proven track record of being proactive, solution-oriented, and forward-thinking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Compensation: Up to $42/hr. (DOE)
